www: switch to zadd for the majority of buffering

This allows us to focus string concatenations in one place to
allow Perl internal scratchpad optimizations to reuse memory.

Calling Compress::Raw::Zlib::deflate repeatedly proves too
expensive in terms of CPU cycles.
