Is there any guides available for a user to upgrade the Yocto version(let's say) to Rocko currently?

I am currently using Fido.

THANK YOU! :)

Yes.

If you want to continue to use your existing Toaster database, you can do the following:

 a) Stop any current Toaster instance
  b) Backup your existing Toaster database to a separate location
  c) Upgrade your poky/bitbake installation, to bring in the new Toaster code
  d) Start up your new Toaster instance

What should happen is that when Toaster starts, any new database schemas changes will be applied to the current database, and you can then go forward from there.

I will say that there were several feature additions to the database (e.g. Distro selection), but no database deprecations. The rest of the changes in Toaster were around defects and workflow improvements.
