We are pleased to announce that the Lustre 2.14.0 Release has been declared GA and is available for download<https://downloads.whamcloud.com/public/lustre/lustre-2.14.0/> <https://downloads.hpdd.intel.com/public/lustre/lustre-2.11.0/> . You can also grab the source from git<https://git.whamcloud.com/?p=fs/lustre-release.git;a=commit;h=e1635c6afbccf97c73cc9079a4e47079b5a2341f>

This major release includes new features:

Client Data Encryption A mechanism leveraging fscrypt has been introduced to allow file data to be encrypted on the client before network transfer and persistent OST and MDT storage (LU-12275<https://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-12275>)

OST Pool Quota The quotas framework has been extended to allow the enforcement of quotas to be on the basis of OST pools (LU-11023<https://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-11023>)

DNE Auto Restriping Striped directories can now adjust how many MDTs they are striped over based on size thresholds defined by the administrator, similar to Progressive File Layouts for directories (LU-11025<https://jira.whamcloud.com/browse/LU-11025>)

Fuller details can be found in the 2.14 wiki page <http://wiki.lustre.org/Release_2.14.0> (including the change log <http://wiki.lustre.org/Lustre_2.14.0_Changelog> and test matrix<http://wiki.lustre.org/Release_2.14.0#Test_Matrix>)

Please log any issues found in the issue tracking system<https://jira.whamcloud.com/>

Thanks to all those who have contributed to the creation of this release.
