Hello list,
I have a strange problem on my machine.
I have installed firestarter application and configured some firewall.
Now i don't want to run that firewall. But it is giving me problems even
though i stop the iptables service.
Even i have removed the firestarter package the firewall still exists
and starts automatically after a period of time.
Where these firewall settings are being stored. How do i remove these
firewalls permanently

Thanks & Regards

Might be ipchains...
If you're on Redhat, you can use the "setup" command and select
firewall from the menu. Then tell it to use no firewall.

If you are implying the iptables rules still exist then if you are on Redhat
check the /etc/sysconfig/iptables file - this should list all the rules that
load at boot.
